Green Silicon Carbide
Green silicon carbide is a high-purity hexagonal crystalline silicon carbide produced from high-purity quartz sand and petroleum coke. It is refined through high-temperature smelting in an electric resistance furnace at approximately 2,300°C, followed by crushing, screening and magnetic separation. It is bright green in colour and translucent, and serves as a high-performance refractory material.
